Sponsored Children's Type 1 diabetes Skydive

Donation protected
As a family Living with Type 1 diabetes can be very isolating, it’s thanks to north Lincolnshire children's Diabetes Support Group that we have found a whole new friendship and family, which have supported us from the day of diagnosis.
The group provide the children and their families with normality, through a varied range of activities and meets through the year, making finger pricking, carb counting and beeping together fun, care free and without feeling out of place.
Often like Oscar, children with type 1 diabetes are the only child with this condition within the school, which can feel daunting.

North Lincolnshire children's Diabetes Support Group provide so much information and practical equipment we may need as parents when leaving the hospital after diagnosis.
These are simple things, but become needed over night, from scales to weigh food in order to calculate the insulin dose required, a bag to place the technology we need to support our child, hypo treatment to prevent serious complications with low blood sugars, and a bag for the children to show how they can personalise and be proud of their new equipment.

To show our thanks, with the support of Tom and Transition Store, we would like to raise as much awareness as possible to allow this group to continue its great work for our local children and families living with type 1 diabetes by fundraising with a sponsored skydive, if you could spare any donation we would be very grateful of your support.

Tom’s skydive will take place Friday 29th September at 11.30

The weather didn’t behave and we have had to reschedule the skydive to Wednesday 25th October 11.30
