That’s where the Ghetto Startups Fund comes in.

Life in the ghetto isn’t easy, but it breeds innovation, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial spirit like no other. The youth here are not waiting for change; they are ready to create it. All they need is the right support.

The Ghetto Startups Fund provides young green and social entrepreneurs with the financial backing, mentorship, and skills training they need to launch and scale their businesses. Through a high-impact entrepreneurial programme tailored for Nairobi’s informal settlements, we’re unlocking untapped potential and creating real economic opportunities.

Each contribution is a catalyst for growth and innovation!

45 USD - 500 SEK. Buys tools or inventory, or helps with advertising costs.

90 USD - 1000 SEK. Equips aspiring entrepreneurs with essential skills in financial literacy and business development.

450 USD - 5000 SEK. Helps entrepreneurs transform their hustle into thriving enterprises.

900 USD - 10,000 SEK. Startups can expand operations, create jobs, and adopt new technology, uplifting the local community.

Individuals and groups of driven young men and women, ages 18-35, who are ready to take charge of their future through entrepreneurship.

The Ghetto Startups Fund is managed by Growth4Change - an ecosystem of changemakers reimagining urban spaces and driving community-led change in Kenya. Growth4Change promotes ghetto engineering and adapts climate smart technologies and solutions to local conditions. It is powered by the Swedish foundation Voices4Change.
