Nathan is running the Scottish half marathon on the 17th of August to raise money for a Malawian charity, Save the Poor Foundation (SAPOF).

SAPOF have a variety of projects including child school sponsorship, counselling for victims of child marriage, self defence classes for girls and a safe-home project for four boys.

A lot of the families they support reported that they go days without eating and struggle to afford basic essentials. With rising food costs in Malawi, unfortunately many people are living in these conditions and it’s only getting worse for them.

Education is simply unaffordable for many Malawians and this makes it nearly impossible to break the cycle of poverty.

£60 will pay for a child to go to primary school for one year, and £93 will pay for a high school pupil to go to school for one year.
