In January of 2023 I took the opportunity to attend a baseball tryout for the USA LABC National Baseball team out of Bloomington, Il which was one of the 40 locations throughout the country to showcase my abilities in front of former major league pitcher Jim Parque and current 16u USA LABC National Baseball Team Head Coach. I figured my chances were a long shot but wanted the experience under my belt and even more important, have the opportunity to represent my Country the best way I know how, playing baseball.

I was able to showcase my hitting, fielding and pitching at this showcase in a strong way. That same day I was selected based on my physical performance but had to go through a second portion that involved an interview process. I was asked many baseball , personal and life questions as they wanted players who can not only play the game but represent USA in the most fashionable way. After this was concluded, I had to wait for the selection process which was as nerve racking but humbling experience.

After waiting many days patiently after my interview, I was lucky enough to be one of the eighteen chosen players out of 7,000 participants on only one team to represent my age group in the Dominican Republic this August. Not only am I excited to play the game I love but I’m even more excited to represent the country I love . While in the Dominican Republic, we will play countries such as Dominican , Venezuela, Canada, British Virgin Islands, Mexico, Cuba, Canada, St Thomas , St Croix, Puerto Rico and Panama.

Not only will this experience allow me to represent my country , it will also allow me to represent my school district, town , family and myself in the most positive way possible as my dreams of playing baseball post Highschool continue !

Of course, with this opportunity comes an expense and this is why I am writing this sponsorship request for anyone willing or wanting to help me through this life and baseball journey this August of 2023. My expense alone to play for the LABC USA National Team is roughly $3,000 for which I am looking to fundraise for my own cost to go. This includes my travel, food, lodging and fee to play.
