Sponsor a Water Test: Help Us Keep Newquay's Waters Safe

We’re a group of local volunteers in Newquay who love the sea—but we’re heartbroken by the constant sewage pollution in our waters.

After yet more spills over Easter which left swimmers and pets sick, we decided to do something joyful and powerful. We are building support, and demanding clean water for everyone.

We’re fundraising to independently test the sea water in Newquay—because right now, there’s no official data during the colder months, and the full range of potentially pollutants aren't tested for. But many of us swim, SUP and surf all year round, we walk our dogs and its a tragedy to watch wildlife cutting through trails of sewage.

Each test costs around £60, and we’re asking you to sponsor a test if you can, so we can build up a full picture of water quality across the whole winter season.
