Hi, I’m Angelina Matt, a high school student who believes that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. I started this project because I saw firsthand how lonely and scary it can be to be in the hospital. My sister had to spend several days there with severe gastroenteritis. She couldn’t eat on her own, and the doctors had to give her a feeding tube to make sure she got the nutrition she needed. I remember walking into her hospital room and seeing her all alone, scared and lonely. Even though I couldn’t fix what she was going through, I realized that small gestures, a smile, a hug, or even a teddy bear, could bring comfort and hope.
That’s why I’m raising funds to sponsor teddy bears for children in hospitals. Each bear provides a friend, a hug, and a reminder that someone cares. I want every child who feels scared or alone to have something to hold onto, just like my sister could have used.
How your gift helps:
- $5 – Helps a child feel remembered and cared for
- $10+ – Receive a shoutout on our social media, celebrating your generosity
- $20 – Sponsors a full teddy bear, and your name will go on the bear’s tag, so a child knows someone is thinking of them
By donating, you’re giving hope, comfort, and a friend to children who are going through one of the hardest times of their lives. Your support means the world, and together, we can make hospital days a little brighter, one teddy bear at a time.
