We are raising money in aid of The Martin Gallier Project and every donation will help.
This amazing charity is coming to Chester, they are on a mission to prevent suicides, break down stigmas and support families in the North West. What makes it different you don't need a referral to access their support.
This charity is important to me and my family, my lovely brother Mike committed suicide 9 years ago. He was the kindest funniest outgoing person you could meet, however, he suffered from depression and found it difficult to talk about his problems and felt a stigma attached to having depression. Therefore he was reluctant to access services through his GP however hard we tried to help him. Unfortunately, we can't turn back the clock but we can help support others who are suffering.
over 500 people die a month by suicide, Mike's family and friends have pledged to run, walk, bike, swim and even horse ride 500 miles in his memory.
The money raised will help sponsor a suicide intervention room which sees a whopping 4002 life-saving suicide interventions a year. The centre is a non-clinical setting and you don't need a referral to access their services. We have the opportunity to name an intervention room after Mike, which means a lot to me, his family and his friends.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
