We rescue and rehabilitate animals in need and provide them with a permanent stress-free high level of care and quality of life.. Recently we collected Pig-tailed Macaques and Vervet Monkeys from a lab where they had spent up to 30 years being experimented on. They now have a new life without fear or pain in our quarantine area. But they need a new building and outdoor area to live out their retirement. We keep costs down by doing a lot of the construction work ourselves, but the cost of materials has risen dramatically.
For example mesh sheets are now over £100 each and we need 40 of them. They all then have to be welded into panels and then galvanised. Other items include 4 argon windows at £350 each. There are many more items on our shopping list - electricity, water, heating all have to be installed in a new building. The cable for the new marmoset building cost £650 for 50 metres.
