Hi Friends,

It’s almost 3 months since we lost Lexy. She is so terribly missed. We all know how much Lexy adored Homer and it makes me smile to think of their reunion. Lexy was in love with every dog she met and I can hear her squeal and laugh every time I meet a new dog.

We’ll be spending a lot of time volunteering at Austin Pets Alive! I would really like to sponsor a dog kennel in Lexy and Homers name. We will be able to place a plaque with her picture on the door and she will be part of caring for every dog that spends time in the kennel. I’d love to update everyone with photos and news of each one, because Lexy would have loved to receive those!

Austin Pets Alive! is a large, nonprofit no-kill animal rescue in Austin that has helped save over 120,000 pets at risk of euthanasia through its programs, and in recent years takes in thousands of animals each year to care for, foster, and find them homes.

I was lucky enough to see Lexy in Houston, but she never made it to visit us in Austin. She would have loved it so much. If you can spare a little bit towards this honoring for Lexy it would be so special
