What is Creators Space ?

Creators Space is a new creativity center and coffee house located in the capital city of St. Paul, MN, providing a wide variety of classes, collaborative studio space, the tools and equipment needed to create. We are a team of artists, entrepreneurs, philosophers, difference makers and change agents - CREATORS. We are ordinary people trying to live extraordinary lives by doing our part to make this world a better place. 

Just Begin ...

Our motto, Just Begin, is at the heart of our Creators Movement.  When individuals “Just Begin” they are embarking on a journey of self-discovery, knowledge attainment, and creative outlet, which leads to unlimited possibilities. It could be as simple as creating space in your head for new knowledge or as complex as finding your purpose in life.  Our role is to ignite a Creators Movement. When individual creators collaborate with a diverse community, positive impact results and solutions to real problems are found. 

The Creators Space community is one of curiosity, cooperation, and support.  Our community is made up of a wide and diverse group of creators. But, along with attracting great talent, we must actively recruit those whose voices may not be heard, those whose finances may be tightly stretched, and those who don’t know how to Just Begin.

This is at the core of our mission. In this vein, our goal is to enable 25% of our members to start their journey at no cost.  

A one year-full immersion membership costs $1,800 and could enable a new mom to  ease back into a yoga practice, a local student to apply their ceramics skills, or a musician a quiet place to train and teach. Any contribution is gratefully accepted and will be applied to the Sponsor A Creator scholarship fund to be distributed to Creators in need through an application and review process.

Would you consider sponsoring a creator?  Our sponsors don’t just provide funding; they provide the environment and the encouragement for a new creator to Just Begin.   Your contribution could help a local retiree to plan and build a ‘second act’ business, a local painter to prepare an exhibit, or a dance student to choreograph and perform an original piece.

The Creators Space Member Experience

Think. Explore. Create. Creators receive full access to 11 creation studios and services available including 24/7 access. With retail/gallery space throughout our 34,000 square foot building, our members have opportunities to sell their work (they keep 70% of the proceeds!), teach in our eight classrooms and create business development opportunities with the Creators Space team and other members. This unique ecosystem enables creators to earn a living wage through the work they find most meaningful to them.

90% of your donation goes to the Sponsor a Creator scholarship fund to pay for a creators membership; 10% to administrative costs.
