Honor a candle for the festival of light

Want to make a difference in a challenging time like this? Join us to honor a candle to be lit on this coming Diwali a.k.a. festival of lights on 4 Nov 2021. We intend to light 1,000 candles that are beautifully decorated with love and devotion to increase the light in this world and within ourselves. Each candle will be lit for 3 consecutive days. We invite you to be part of this celebration by honoring these candles.

 

Why on candles on Diwali? Diwali the ‘Festival of Lights’ is one of the most prominent festival in India, celebrated with great warmth, joy, and shining grandeur, just like Christmas is celebrated in many parts of the world. The word Diwali comes from the Sanskrit word Deepavali, which means a row of lights. The festival falls on the darkest, new moon night hence people lit candles to bring lights on this darkest night.

 

The festival of Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and right over wrong. It is an occasion of high spiritual value as it signifies the opening of our own true light which sparkles within us and sharing this glow with others as well.

 

The funds will go to Divine Bliss International, a registered non profit organisation in the US dedicating itself to help people to connect to the light within them. It is operated through the grace of Sarva Loka Maa Her Holiness Sri Sri Sri 1008 Guruji Poonamji, a living saint of our time. The funds honored will be used towards building a large meditation center where everyone is welcomed to find the peace within themselves.
