As it's the one year anniversary of the passing of my mom, Margaret Mary Filoromo, I have been thinking a lot about the ways I can honor her memory. I realized it would feel really meaningful to sponsor a beach wheelchair at the accessible beach in Wildwood Crest, NJ.

The beach wheelchair program allows for anyone to borrow one for free. My mom used these free beach wheelchairs for several summers, and we were very grateful. It enabled my mom to be able to enjoy the beauty of the beach and spend time with her family and grandkids. Accessibility and being able to experience the joy of being at the beach are so important!

Would you want to contribute to sponsoring a beach wheelchair in my mom's memory? It costs $1500 to purchase a beach wheelchair. Providing Wildwood Crest's accessible beach with an additional wheelchair will help increase the size of their small fleet and will allow for more people to use beach wheelchairs for free.
