Hi, I’m Mike McMeekin, Executive Director of the Engineering Change Lab-USA . In November 2025, we are holding a two-day summit entitled Beyond Disruption: Pioneering a New Path for the Engineering Community. This event will examine our current state of uncertainty and rapid change—driven by government actions, advances in artificial intelligence, declining trust in institutions, and economic volatility—which are redefining the world the engineering community serves. Old assumptions and routines no longer hold. The pressures on our profession have pushed us past familiar boundaries, and there is no returning to business as usual. Now is the time for the engineering community to take a clear-eyed look at today’s realities and take the lead in forging a new path.

To maximize the value of this event, we would like to include engineering students from universities around the country to join the discussion, and are seeking support to offset their expenses.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps propel the mission of Engineering Change Lab - USA and the Summit outcomes, which will be documented in an open-source report, available at our website.
