The National Outreach Program (NOP) at LUMS is a program that extends the benefits of stellar university education in Pakistan to students who might otherwise not have the financial resources or live in underdeveloped areas.

 

Last year, alumni from LUMS Class of 2017 created a Class Fund to sponsor the education of one such NOP scholar for a four-year study tenure.  We are happy to share that the selected student is already in their second semester of education at LUMS. https://lums.edu.pk/news/bsc-class-2017-establishes-scholarship-fund-support-nop

 

The total sponsorship cost for the four year tenure is estimated at PKR 4.8 million (Approx. 28,000 USD). This cost includes a tuition fee waiver, semester registration charges, lab fees, hostel accommodation and a living stipend. Last year, we raised and deposited $13,743 into the scholarship fund.

 

This fundraising round is to raise half of the remaining amount (the other half will be raised through employer matching) to complete the funding of all four years of the selected student.
