Hello everyone, I'm Shannon & I'm raising money to pay my past due rent. Eviction court is October 1st, and my landlord said if I come up with the $2968 (2 months plus $500 lawyer fee from my landlord) BEFORE 12 noon on Monday, September 29th, then they will cancel court & the eviction.

I have tried my city's resources and come up void except for $250 from one church. Everybody seems to be struggling at this time, and resources are stretched thin.

BUT I have to at least TRY. I am the sole guardian of my severely autistic son, Jeremiah. If I don't raise this money, WE will be homeless. I can't let embarrassment stop me from trying every possible thing, every possible way.

I have a job; actually, I just started a second one, so technically I have two. I was off work for a few weeks, and it feels like I got behind months instead of weeks. As badly as I need my rent paid, I also needed the electricity, my car, & food for us to eat. So there was barely anything to save for rent.

I have a revised budget that includes the income from the new job, and going forward, I can pay the bills, BUT I really need help with these 2 months. I can't fail like THIS. Not in a way that completely disrupts my Jeremiah's routine. Not in a way that would reverse his progress.
