Meet Zoey. My sister rescued Zoey when Zo was 8 weeks old and they've been inseparable since. We always joke that Zoey is Lindsey's emotional support dog, because Zoey is emotional and needs support. When Linds adopted Zoey, we didn't know Lindsey was about to be diagnosed with cancer. Zoey has been there for Lindsey during entire journey over the past 7 years, providing unconditional love, comfort, and support in the way only a dog can.
Zoey had a biopsy of a bump on her leg this week, and after 7 years of supporting her mom's fight with cancer, Zoey has been diagnosed with cancer as well. Spindle cell Carcinoma. The treatment for this cancer is the surgical removal of the cancerous tissue on her leg and possibly amputation if the cancer returns. The cost of the removal alone will be $4000 along with the cost of follow up appointments and further testing.
Zoey has been Lindsey's constant companion and life line during her fight against cancer. We ask that, if you are able, please help us get Zoey the treatment she needs in her battle against cancer. The veterinary specialist would like to schedule this surgery at the end of April/beginning of May. Please, if you are able and willing, help contribute to the surgery expense fund for Zoey. Your contribution means the world to us and we are incredibly grateful for your support.
