Support Artist Stipends for Spirit Walls 2025

Spirit Walls is an annual public art project and skill-sharing workshop founded by local artist Brian Gonnella in 2017. Each year, Spirit Walls brings together emerging and professional muralists for a week-long collaboration at Spirit Hall in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh. The project is dedicated to increasing the visibility of street art in the city and providing a platform for artists to learn from one another, plan, and execute a large-scale mural. Over the years, Spirit Walls has helped many local artists develop new skills and showcase their work in a public space, strengthening Pittsburgh’s creative community.

This year, starting on August 17, seven artists will work side by side to create a new mural, culminating in a public debut during the Summer Recess event on August 23. The workshop covers all materials and offers each artist a cash stipend, made possible by the generosity of sponsors, local businesses, and community members. By supporting this fundraiser, you’ll help ensure that every participating artist is compensated for their time, talent, and effort. Your contribution will directly fund artist stipends, making it possible for Spirit Walls to continue its mission of empowering local artists and enriching Pittsburgh’s public art scene.
