its Wendy, some know me and Wendeya, and I am approaching my 42nd year of life

In some cosmologies, they call this age the crescendo of a lifetime—the peak from which you can finally gauge the scope of the climb. I look back and I see the peaks and the valleys, the beauty and the breaking, and I see my precious life held within them. I see all the ones who have played pivotal roles in this story—those so dear to my heart who have walked beside me or watched from the ridges, or acted as guides. Aloha, I love you.

I reflect on my peaks and my valleys now as times of heightened sensation—the rawest of my human experience. I remember crying out to the unseen from the top of the mountain, and calling for a strength beyond my own from the bottom of the canyons, from the depths of my human heart

This July, as I turn 42, I am going to Mount Kailash to pray.

I go to pray for what has been and what will be. I go as a vessel, I am going to ask something bigger than me to flood through my channel and spread throughout time as I act as a grounding rod.

Part of this journey has meant leaving everything I knew and loved behind. I had to learn the ways of following the unknown Breath of Life. She has taken me to my edges, to the limits of my longings, and has opened and made use of my vessel. She taught me the forgotten languages, awakened my dragon, and broke my heart so the Holy could move through.

She took my name and turned it to "No One," so that I could pit it back on as someone

I was guided out of the churches of brick and mortar
to find the mystery school of the Earth beneath my feet.
In this remembering,
I have come to feel the Earth as a living body
breathing, speaking, alive.
And I have fallen in love.
With many lands.
And one of them is Kailash.
My heart has been yearning to meet this mountain

I go to stand and pray
for my children,
for this country,
for the softening and awakening of its heart,
for the religion I once belonged to,
that all beings within it may be free.
I stand for love.
I stand for peace.
I stand for the village.

And I am asking for help to get there.

I am reaching out to those who have walked with me along the way
through the temples of Salt Lake,
the red roads of Hawaii,
the shores of San Clemente,
the circles of mothers,
and the wild road trips in-between

If you feel moved to support this pilgrimage
through prayer, resources, or sharing this call
I receive you with a full and grateful heart.

Aloha.
