Spirit's (redo) Open Heart Surgery Recovery

Please read the latest update regarding life-threatening complications that have arisen. I am asking for an additional $2,000 to help with extended recovery.

I'm Spirit River (but you can call me Spirit). In December I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Policy Studies with a dream to go to Law School and specialize in Indigenous law and policy.

I am going for Open Heart Surgery on the 22nd of this month (March).

I recently learned that I have a connective tissue disorder which has caused my aortic root to dilate to the most severe level (aneurysm).

Since finishing my degree, I have applied for over 70 jobs and have had no luck finding employment, and now I've run out of time despite my efforts. My savings are depleted and we're barely getting by with my partner's current job.

I need around-the-clock care during my recovery, so my mom and sister are coming from the reserve to take care of me while my partner works. I need to feed them (my mom doesn't have employment due to her own medical issues). I also have rent and utilities. I haven't even been able to make accommodations in my home due to a lack of funds as well.

Any support you can offer me and my little family would be greatly appreciated.
