Hi, my name is Henry Ohakah and together with my wife Anita, I’m fundraising through the Ascensiontide Walkathon 2026 to support children from financially disadvantaged homes in rural Nigeria. Through Spirit Wind World Impact, we help provide school fees, uniforms, textbooks, writing materials, exam fees, sandals, school bags and other essential learning resources for children who would otherwise struggle to stay in school.

This cause is very close to my heart. Many families simply cannot afford the basic costs of education and without support, children are at real risk of child labour, begging, or being drawn into unsafe environments. Your generosity helps keep them in school, gives them stability and opens the door to a brighter future. SWWI also supports wider community needs, including:

church building projects for Methodist Church Umuahia West, stipends for rural pastors serving in challenging conditions, widows and orphans with food, clothing, and essential supplies, pastors’ training, discipleship, and outreach events.

Every pound you give goes directly to this work. Every step we walk is a step of hope for a child, a family, and a community.
