Spirit United Cup Team 2022

Please support the Spirit United 2023 Cup Team as they plan to travel to the Netherlands in January 2023 to represent the USA in the most prestigious indoor girls fast pitch softball tournament in the world - The Fast Pitch Softball European Cup Trip!

Coach Rich LeViere is the president and founder of Pittsburgh Spirit Softball Organization. He has mentored and coached hundreds of girls since starting the organization in 1998 after successfully coaching softball at the high school level for many years. Young girls who play for Coach Rich learn to be elite softball players and positive members of the community.

Coach Rich has traveled to the Cup in the Netherlands for the past 21 years and he usually coaches one team of players who come from all over the US. They usually meet their team at the airport one day before the tournament begins which is a challenge. However, his teams have proven that our US girls are strong, competent and competitive. US players also host an annual softball clinic at the event, so they can teach young Dutch girls the game of softball that they clearly love. 

For the first time in 2023, Coach Rich will be afforded the opportunity to bring his own team from the Greater Pittsburgh Area to compete at The Cup. Brenna Altman, Bella Atherton, Abigail Borello, Abbie Dieseroth, Breena Komarnisky, Hanna Murphy, Madison Rieker, Rylee Rohbeck and Brenna Westwood have been hand-picked to play for the Spirit United 2022 Cup Team and they will have 10 months to prepare together. They will have the opportunity to not only show their skills but compete at the highest level. Many of the players they will see are professional athletes and represent their countries in the Olympics.
