I’m reaching out today on behalf of someone who would never ask for help herself — my dear friend Ally Keller.
Ally is one of the kindest, gentlest souls you could ever meet. A preschool art teacher who has brought creativity, patience, and joy into the lives of countless little ones, Ally has always been the person who loves quietly, helps generously, and asks for nothing in return. She adores animals, is deeply loyal to her friends and family, and has spent her life lifting others up.
Now, Ally is facing one of the most difficult challenges of her life — and she needs our support.
What Happened
Ally’s health has taken a serious turn. She has been diagnosed with severe spinal issues combined with advanced osteoporosis, a condition so critical that she required major spine surgery. While the surgery was successful, the recovery journey ahead is long, fragile, and extremely costly.
Her doctors in Argentina have prescribed a full year of specialized post-surgery injections — medication that is absolutely essential to help her bones rebuild, strengthen, and heal properly. These injections are life-changing, but they are extremely expensive, and they are not covered by her local health system.
Without them, the surgery she bravely endured will not have the chance to succeed.
Why We Are Asking for Help
If you know Ally, you know she is humble, sensitive, and incredibly shy about receiving help. She did not want to start this GoFundMe — in fact, she resisted the idea at first. But the reality is that this treatment is far beyond what she can manage alone.
Ally spent years living and working in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and although she is now back home in Argentina, she has friends across the world who care about her deeply. I believe that together, we can make a real difference.
