My 5-year-old dog Isley is a good natured, playful dog. Yesterday, I got home from work, and he was on the floor, unable to walk. It was very sudden but he lost the ability to move both his hind legs.

I rushed him to the vet, who then immediately referred him to a neurologist . Upon looking at him, they advised they thought it was a slipped disk but could not determine for sure without an MRI.  

My boyfriend and I pulled some credit cards because we needed to find out what’s going on. The doctor determined it was Intervertebral Disc disease, and he will need emergency surgery with a 95% success rate of walking again if he receives it. The final bill is estimated between $8K to $10k, which is a financial blow for most of us.

I’m not one to ask or post things on social media, but Isley is my dog and I absolutely love him - he's family and he's been an emotional support throughout some tough periods in my life, and now it's time for me to be there for him when he needs it most. 

Isley is currently with the vets at Southeast Veterinary Neurology of Miami, and we've given the go ahead for surgery as it's his only chance. Any help donation at this point help, and I will thank you from the bottom of my heart.
