Ugh... I really hate to be doing this and am usually the last one to ask for help for anything but we are in a serious pickle. For the last 4 months I Melissa 37 have been pretty much bed ridden and unable to take care of my family as a home maker. I knew the pain had to do with my discs but really did everything (ie chiropractor, physical therapy, stretches, ice, heat etc) to take care of the issue with the thought it would resolve on its own. Going into month 4 the issue just kept evolving and getting worse. We used money we really didnt have to pay for MRI and to see a spine specialist. My worst fears were confirmed that two of my discs are herniated, causing spinal stenosis with 3 vertebrae so compressed (degenerative disc disease) my doctor said we would be lucky to get a sheet of paper, let alone my discs back in place. All of last year I worked really hard to lose 80lbs so I would stop running into back pain and feel better about myself. I mean I worked hard and changed so much of my life to make the weightloss happen with the help and support of my husband. Our insurance will pay a portion of the costs for the two procedures I will need done. I am a homemaker and my husband works two jobs. The portion we will have to pay is upwards of 5 thousand (our insurance is not the best) and has to be paid up front in order to have the surgery. We are starting this gofundme for help and also have two tiktok accounts we are hoping can make us money to help as well. Iammeesalee and twicesoldriches are my account names. This cost is coming out of nowhere and we have no way of being able to pay for it in these already hard times. We would be very thankful and grateful for any help... This surgery will prevent me from becoming paralyzed as my chances for it are doubled being its two discs bulging into my spinal cord at a very dangerous degree.
