I need a laminectomy (L4-S1) and an arthroplasty (replacing the damaged L5 disc with an ActiveL artificial disc). I have been going through pain since March 2016. I have been in pain management since then, as well. Two other scheduled surgeries fell through and delayed things. I saw best neurosurgeon at MedStar Georgetown in Washington DC, then moved to Lafayette, LA to assist my dad in his hip surgery and recovery. Life happens!!!

I have some more time to work/save/get donations, but it is also more time that I’ll be in pain & suffering. Working and waiting in chronic pain is difficult, painful, and physically, emotionally, and mentally draining.

The neurosurgeon’s office is getting surgical pre-authorization and a surgical date set up!!!! I am praying for a mid-summer surgery.
