SPIKE's vet bills, medication, and supplements

Hello, my name is Shawn and I rescued SPIKE, a senior 12.5 yr old Wheaton Terrier, from a high-kill shelter in Downey, California just moments away from being euthanized on AUG-8th, 2023.

As a puppy Spike was in the same kill shelter, and after being adopted for 12 years, he was abandoned there in JUN-2023. He was not eating, was depressed and never walked. He lost muscle mass and was getting weak. I decided to rescue him, and help him rehab into the happiest senior dog ever! He deserves to live out the rest of his life in the best possible way.

Spike needs full blood panel work done to ensure his organs are working as they should be, along with xrays for his spine, dental work, and put on anti-inflammatory medication to alleviate his arthritis. Spike also needs supplements along with the best food out there (The Honest Kitchen).

He is THE happiest dog now that he knows he is safe, he LOVEs walking and exploring the neighborhood, and he loves meeting other dogs, and humans, and cuddling me. He has many years left in him with the right care which is my goal for this fundraiser.

I've already listed to sell my motorcycle so I can contribute to his bills so far, but I need more for his other vet bills. Every cent will be spent on his needs, if any amount is left over I will contribute it back to another rescue. VET REQUIREMENTS:

-Dental cleaning and extractions to ensure no infections - $3,800 as quoted by VCA-Burlingame, California

-Full Blood panel work to check his heart, thyroids, liver, kidneys, ect - $750-$998 as quoted by VCA-Burlingame, California

-Arthritis medication $140/month

-Xrays for the spine, and rehabilitation for his hind legs to regenerate his lost muscles (in water rehab) $2,000 - 3,000 depending on the length of time it takes for him to get better

-Supplements for his joints - $300/yr

-Other vet bills will include vaccinations, and unforeseeable vet visits which will surely come with a senior pup
