UPDATE FEB 16, 2021:   My name is Cecilia Caito, I am the niece of Gigi Spies who dies on Jan 1 from complications of Covid-19.   I initiated this fundraiser.  The funds we have raised are for her widow Todd Spies who is receiving medical bills as we speak, because not only did his wife Gigi pass away after two weeks in the hospital, but his two sons also had week-long hospital stays due to Covid-19 and (pneumonia).  I have made my dad, Michael Caito, the beneficiary so that he can receive the withdrawn funds and then write a check from his bank account to Todd Spies.  My dad (Michael Caito) has already accepted the Withdrawal but is just waiting now for the funds to be deposited into his bank.  His email is [email redacted]

Update Jan 2: Sadly we lost Gigi yesterday to the complications of Covid-19. The family is numb with sadness. Shock. Our hope with this GoFundMe is to be able to help ease the financial burden of the medical costs so they can give their time and attention now to healing emotionally, and grieving, without the added stress of mounting medical bills. You’ll recall from the previous status, that Gigi’s sons, (Kevin and Kyle) were both also hospitalized. They were discharged earlier this week and are now recovering.
