Supporting Steve- Medical

Hi friends! As many of you know, Steve (Wonder) has been battling recurring medical issues that don't seem to be letting up. He's the sole provider for his family and works a lot of hours to keep life moving along.

We ask a lot of him at the First Tee, and he doesn't ask anything from us (except to pay our tabs!). He is a staple in most of our lives- he's generous, a kind soul, and has pulled many of us out of our daily life funk with a joke- or a really good cocktail!

I am sharing this because he won't- and we need to support him and his family right now.

He's at a turning point medically where the doctors think it's best to remove a section of his colon that is creating the recurring problem. The concern now is that if this continues to happen at this pace- as frequently as it has been happening- his colon could eventually burst and create a need for immediate, emergency surgery. Complications that would follow are obvious.

Steve has a fairly heavy deductible that he will need to meet, along with being out of work and recovery time that could put him down for 3 weeks.

I know everyone gets hit with fundraisers for this or that, but I feel like for all he does for us, it's just right that we return the love. Anything helps- but the sooner he can knock this surgery out the sooner he'll be back slinging drinks for us and calling out Bingo (but with a "M"!). Let's take some of the stress off of him, Beth and Emma so they can focus on getting him healthy.
