My sister, THEANIMATEDLIFE, is a military wife & mom of 3 little girls. I helped them move to their new house this past weekend from one state to another 3 states away. 2 women +3 kids+ 3 dogs! It was quite a journey! This morning her 3 German Shepherds were ALL hit by a car. There is a fence - but it being a new house - the dogs weren’t familiar just yet with the property & we didn’t know there was A way for them to get out- Anyways- they were running around and a car came whipping around the corner and didn’t see the dogs who were coning toward the road & the driver hit all 3 dogs. All 3 were taken immediately to the vet by my sister - after calling neighbors and family to help her watch her girls.
One dog had to go in for surgery right away and the other two had to be sedated to be stitched up. The baby - Culper is now awaiting surgery - as the vet just called to let us know that his hip is shattered, and he needs reconstruction surgery. The vet wants to keep the oldest one that had surgery and the one awaiting surgery for 2 nights and the other one just for an overnight. Please help if you can. The vet costs on top of a move across country let’s just say are overwhelming.

Meet Ike - he had surgery today to put his hip back in place. He will be overnight at the vets the next two days. He will have to wear a sling for 10 days following. He also had to be stitched up in different areas. He’s a 5 year old German Shepherd love. ♥️

Meet Ginger. She is a 3 1/2 year old beauty! ♥️she had to go under anesthesia today to be stitched up. Her front legs had Deep gashes where bone was showing through . She seems to be the most unconcerned with what happened this morning and in good spirits. But the vet wants to keep her overnight for observation.

Meet Culper. He is Ike and Ginger’s son, a little over one year old. He was covered in cuts and bruises. His hip was shattered . He also had to be sedated to be stitched up. He is awaiting surgery to reconstruct his hip. We were super worried about him because he was very traumatized by the whole thing. He will be there for at least two days Depending on his surgery and if all goes well. I think he is probably in the most critical condition . ♥️
