Am 19.6. werde ich 40 Jahre alt. Ich möchte an MEINEM Tag und neuem Jahrzehnt damit beginnen, mit dieser Kampagne für Matovu und die Waisenkinder in Uganda sammeln.
Matovu kommt aus Uganda, ist Lehrer und hat die Blessed Arms Charity gegründet - eine christliche Organisation zum Schutz obdachloser und hilfsbedürftiger Kinder .
Die Organisation Blessed Arms Charity kümmert sich um schutzbedürftige, obdachlose Kinder, die durch tragische Umstände wie den Tod eines oder beider Elternteile oder extreme Armut zu Waisen geworden sind. Viele Kinder werden auch aufgrund kleiner körperlicher Behinderungen oder behandelbarer Krankheiten von ihren Familien abgelehnt. Einige haben ihre Eltern durch HIV/AIDS verloren, andere fliehen vor Missbrauch oder Kinderarbeit, häufig bei Verwandten, die sie nach dem Tod ihrer Eltern aufgenommen haben.
Das Waisenhaus ist in Gayaza das Leben dort ist extrem challenging. Bisher haben Sie wenig bis keine Geldmittel, Matovu agiert größtenteils alleine mit drei Betreuern, er selbst lebt und arbeitet noch in Kampala.
Als er mich im Februar kontaktiert hat, hatten die Kinder nur eine Mahlzeit pro Tag. Ich selbst wusste auch nicht, wie ich den Monat überstehen soll, weil ich keine Projekte hatte.
Seine Anfrage kam "aus dem Nichts" und hat mich erst sehr skeptisch gemacht. Ich habe gebetet und gespürt, ich muss helfen, auch wenn ich selbst nicht viel geben kann.
Ich habe begonnen ihm zunächst 50€ zu senden. Er sendete mir Bilder und Videos von dem was eingekauft hat und den Kinder gebracht hat - auch eine benachbarte Familie mit einem behinderten Kind hat er noch damit versorgen können. Dadurch ist mein Vertrauen in seine Glaubwürdigkeit gewachsen - seitdem habe ich 200€ gespendet. Er hat dafür dringend benötigte Schuhe und Essen gekauft.
Wir sind im stetigen Austausch via LinkedIn. Er sendet Bilder, Updates und ich habe mich bereits auch mit weiteren Spenderinnen vernetzt.
Die meisten Kinder können nicht zur Schule gehen, weil es an Materialien fehlt. Eine Lehrerin aus dem Dorf hat angeboten, die Kinder samstags und sonntags zu unterrichten. Dafür brauchen Sie dringend Bücher und Schreibutensilien.
Um die Grundversorgung mit Basic-Lebensmittel ( Maismehl, Zucker..etc ) zu gewährleisten braucht er lediglich ca. 180 $ im Monat für alle Kinder.
Es ist gerade ein Kampf ums Überleben, gegen Mangelernährung.
Ich möchte nachhaltig helfen und brauche dafür Spendenunterstützung und alles darüber hinaus, um mehr die Mangelernährung zu einer ausgewogenen Ernährung zu erweitern, Schulmaterial zu besorgen und gesundheitliche Versorgung sicherzustellen.

On June 19th, I’ll turn 40. On MY day and in my new decade I want to start raising as much money as possible for Matovu and the orphaned children in Uganda.
Matovu is a teacher from Uganda and founder of Blessed Arms Charity, a Christian organization that protects homeless and vulnerable children.
The organization cares for children who have lost one or both parents due to illness, poverty, or tragic circumstances. Some are rejected by their families because of minor disabilities or treatable medical conditions. Others have lost parents to HIV/AIDS or have escaped abuse and child labor after being taken in by relatives.
The orphanage is located in Gayaza, and life there is extremely challenging. They have little to no financial resources. Matovu runs the project largely alone, with the help of three caretakers. He himself still lives and works in Kampala.
When he contacted me in February, the children were eating just one meal a day. At that time, I didn’t know how I would make it through the month myself, as I had no projects or income.
His message came “out of nowhere” — and I was skeptical. But I prayed about it and felt strongly: I have to help, even if I don’t have much to give.
I started by sending €50. Matovu shared pictures and videos showing what he bought for the children — he even helped a neighboring family with a disabled child. This built my trust in his sincerity. Since then, I’ve donated €200. He used the money to buy urgently needed food and shoes.
We stay in touch regularly via LinkedIn. He shares updates and photos, and I’ve already connected with other supporters.
Most of the children can't attend school due to lack of materials. A local teacher offered to teach them on Saturdays and Sundays — but they urgently need books and school supplies.
To cover the basic food supply (like maize flour and sugar), only $180 per month is needed — for all the children.
Right now, they are fighting for survival and against malnutrition.
I want to help sustainably — to expand the food supply into a more balanced diet, to buy school materials, and to support medical care.

El 19 de junio cumplo 40 años. En este mí día quiero recaudar la mayor cantidad posible para Matovu y los niños huérfanos en Uganda.
Matovu es profesor en Uganda y fundador de Blessed Arms Charity, una organización cristiana que protege a niños sin hogar y en situación vulnerable.
La organización cuida a niños que han perdido a uno o ambos padres por enfermedades, pobreza o circunstancias trágicas. Algunos son rechazados por sus familias debido a discapacidades leves o enfermedades tratables. Otros han perdido a sus padres por el VIH/SIDA o han huido del abuso y del trabajo infantil después de ser acogidos por familiares.
El orfanato está ubicado en Gayaza, y la vida allí es extremadamente difícil. Cuentan con pocos o ningún recurso económico. Matovu dirige el proyecto casi solo, con la ayuda de tres cuidadores. Él mismo vive y trabaja todavía en Kampala.
Cuando me escribió en febrero, los niños solo comían una vez al día. En ese momento, yo misma no sabía cómo iba a llegar a fin de mes, ya que no tenía proyectos ni ingresos.
Su mensaje me llegó "de la nada" y al principio fui muy escéptica. Pero oré y sentí con claridad: Tengo que ayudar, aunque yo misma no tenga mucho.
Empecé enviándole 50 €. Matovu me envió fotos y vídeos de lo que compró para los niños — incluso ayudó a una familia vecina con un niño con discapacidad. Esto fortaleció mi confianza en su honestidad. Desde entonces he donado 200 €. Compró zapatos y comida urgentemente necesarios.
Estamos en contacto frecuente por LinkedIn. Él me manda actualizaciones y fotos, y ya me he conectado con otras personas que también donan.
La mayoría de los niños no puede ir a la escuela porque les faltan materiales. Una maestra del pueblo se ofreció a enseñarles los sábados y domingos, pero necesitan libros y útiles escolares con urgencia.
Para cubrir los alimentos básicos (como harina de maíz, azúcar, etc.), solo se necesitan 180 dólares al mes — para todos los niños.
Ahora mismo luchan por sobrevivir y contra la desnutrición.
Quiero ayudar de manera sostenible — para asegurar una alimentación equilibrada, conseguir material escolar y ofrecer atención médica.
