Liebe Alle ☀️

English version:
Dear all ☀️
I (Maggy) am currently in Uganda for an internship at Mother's Heart Uganda.
I have known this NGO, which is committed to education and health in rural areas in eastern Uganda, for eight years now. A lot has happened during this time: what started as lessons under a corrugated iron roof for a few children has grown into a whole school for currently 308 students with classrooms that can withstand the rain. Thirteen teachers teach every day and two cooks ensure that every child gets a cup of hot porridge during break time.
Education contributes to health – not least because children learn to make independent decisions and develop hopeful prospects beyond early marriage and childbearing.
There is still a need to improve healthcare in the community. As it is located in a rural area on a hill (Golden Hill) and the roads are extremely poor, healthcare in the city is not accessible to everyone, nor is it quick or available at all times – whether due to rainfall that makes the roads impassable or a lack of financial resources for transport and treatment.
Currently, there is already a nurse at Mother's Heart Uganda who is equipped with some medicines and helps where she can. And there is a shell for a building that could now become a proper clinic.
We are asking for your support to make this happen!
The donation goal of €2,000 should be enough to complete the building - if we can collect more, we can start on the interior design. Everything here is done step by step and only with the help of donations, as the NGO itself does not make a profit!
Feel free to take a look at the organization's website:
A thousand thanks on behalf of Mother's Heart Uganda for your donation!
Greetings from Uganda, Maggy
