Es war schrecklich von unserem Kollegen Mario Röhr zu hören, dass sein Sohn Sebastian so plötzlich und unerwartet verstorben ist.
Der Weg von Sebastian war mit Sicherheit kein leichter und mit seinen 22 Jahren musste er sich einigen Herausforderungen stellen.
Trotz seiner Erblindung und Nierentransplantation hat Sebastian im Blindeninstitut in Würzburg die Möglichkeit gehabt, ein selbständiges und an seinen Bedürfnissen orientiertes Leben zu führen.
Ich habe Basti als sehr fröhlichen und aufmerksamen Menschen kennengelernt. Sein Charakter war durch eine Willenskraft geprägt, die es niemals vermochte aufzugeben, egal wie schwer der Kampf auch war. Basti hat vor allem seine Kämpfernatur sein Lebensmut und seine fröhliche Art, mit der er jeden von sich begeistern konnte, ausgemacht.
Der Spendenaufruf soll die Blindeninstitutsstiftung finanziell in Würzburg unterstützen und
Projektideen, die Sebastian für das Blindeninstitut hatte, umzusetzen. Wie z.B. die Erneuerung der Leitlinien, an denen sich blinde und sehbehinderte Bewohner*innen und Besucher*innen auf dem Gelände orientieren können. Und viele andere kleine und größere Veränderungen, die sich Sebastian für das Blindeninstitut gewünscht hat.
Zu dem schmerzlichen Verlust von Sebastian, möchten wir den Eltern Nicole & Mario unser tiefstes Mitgefühl aussprechen.

It was terrible to hear from our colleague Mario Röhr that his son Sebastian passed away so suddenly and unexpectedly.
Sebastian's path was certainly not an easy one and at the age of 22 he had to face some challenges.
Despite his blindness and kidney transplant, Sebastian had the opportunity to live an independent life oriented to his needs at the Institute for the Blind in Würzburg.
I got to know Sebastian as a very cheerful and attentive person. His character was characterized by a willpower that never gave up, no matter how difficult the struggle. Basti's main characteristics were his fighting nature, his courage to face life and his cheerful manner with which he could inspire everyone.
The appeal for donations is intended to support the Blind Institute Foundation financially in Würzburg and implement project ideas that Sebastian had for the Institute for the Blind. For example, the renewal of the guidelines that blind and visually impaired residents and visitors can use to orient themselves on the premises. And many other small and larger changes that Sebastian would like to see at the Institute for the Blind.
On the painful loss of Sebastian, we would like to express our deepest sympathy to the parents Nicole & Mario.
