For my 19th birthday, I'm asking that friends, family, and anyone who is able to give to my transition fund. Part of my gender transition as a nonbinary person includes a medical transition, including one major surgery that is fairly costly, top surgery. Though I work during the school year and over the summer, since I'm a college student my family has enough other expenses (tuition, room and board, etc.) that it's difficult for us to save for my top surgery. Money I raise through this fund will go toward my top surgery.

My parents are supportive and have offered to help me with this cost, and I might have some insurance coverage. Even so, top surgery could still cost upwards of $10,000 out of pocket, which isn't exactly affordable. To me, transition means living a more authentic and happy life. Part of that is being comfortable in my body, which I can come closer to with this surgery. I believe everyone should be able to live authentic lives and be comfortable in their body, and I would really appreciate your help in making my life better by giving to this fund.
