There is no happy ending to my story. Motor Neurone disease is a rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and the spinal cord. It can leave people in a failing body, unable to move, talk, swallow and eventually breathe.
Unfortunately, my father was diagnosed with this terrible disease in October last year. I am planning to run the Virgin London Marathon in October this year, to raise funds for this fantastic charity and as a tribute to my father.
Hopefully, in years to come there will be happier endings for people with this disease.
