Spencer’s fight

My name is Samantha Clark and I’m looking to raise money for my brother and his family. We are beyond grateful for anything anyone is willing to donate.

Captain Spencer Logan Hess who serves the Quartzsite and McMullen Valley Fire Districts was diagnosed with a brain tumor on Saturday March the second. This was a shock and unexpected. Spencer had emergency brain surgery and the neoplasm was removed. MRI indicated that Surgeons were successful with the total removal of what they specified was cancer.

Captain Hess will be enduring chemotherapy as well as radiation treatment and more testing over approximately the next 6 months or more. This will be one of the largest fights of his life for the Air Force veteran, but he will win!

His wife and three children are by his side providing encouragement as are the rest of his family and Fire Department siblings.

Medical expenses for all his treatment will be tens of thousands, their cost ,with deductibles and prescriptions not covered by insurance. This will add additional stress to the family, as Captain Hess is the sole provider and may not be able return to work for many months.
