On February 7th, 2016 Spencer was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma. These are words that no parent ever imagines they will hear about one of their children . Spencer will be treated at one of the best hospitals around, U of M Mott's Children's hospital. Burkitt's Lymphoma is a very treatable type of cancer, however, this journey will still have its struggles.
Here is the truth: yes, financial stress plays a part during the months of treatment ahead; as the family travels from Freeland to Ann Arbor for numerous treatments and work is limited so they can be by Spencer's side. But honestly, the burden of the emotional stress falls heavier. So this page is set up to help show the family support from a group of friends, family, or in some cases complete strangers that may know this burden all to well.
With the support group, Spencer's strength, and the faith in God we know he will beat this!
