Spencer Drake Medical Expense Fund

Spencer was an aircraft mechanic for over 20 years. While he was a mechanic he also worked at Fry’s Golf Cart and fell in love with the business. A few years ago he had the opportunity to purchase the golf cart business. He took the opportunity and left the aviation industry to pursue a business owner career.

Since then, he has fallen upon severe heath concerns. Unfortunately, both of his kidneys are failing and currently operating at 5% functionality. He is currently on a daily dialysis to address those kidney issues. The kidney functionality will not return, and he will need a double kidney transplant. Spencer is on two donor lists, each with a three to five year wait list.

As you can imagine, Spencer is currently unable to work. Thankfully, he does have medical insurance through his wife, Brandy, however it is a high deductible plan. Needless to say, this has placed a significant financial stress on his family. He is actively trying to sell the golf cart business, but has yet to receive an offer.

I am reaching out to you all, as friends of Spencer, as a call to action to help support him in his time of need. As mentioned earlier, he will be on a donor list for three to five years, so even if you cannot give right now but may be able to at a later time, please consider doing so.

The goal is to provide coverage for the annual deductible which is $6,000 per year. If we canget 10 people to contribute $50, or 20 people to contribute $25 on a monthly basis over the course of the next three years, that gets us to our goal!
