On Tuesday, March 8, Spencer got into a car accident on his way into work from Glen, MT. He was taken to Barrett's Hospital in Dillon, MT, where they diagnosed that he had suffered a spinal cord injury, some internal bleeding and lacerations, and a brain bleed. Spencer was promptly intubated and life-flighted to Missoula, MT. However, upon his arrival to Missoula, doctors decided that the spinal cord injury was too severe to operate on and flew him to Salt Lake City. Spencer is currently in Salt Lake and is stable. Doctors ended up fusing his skull to his spine as most people that obtain that degree of a spinal injury do not survive. Spencer has a long road ahead of him, but his mother and father (Natalie and Bruce Chamberlain) are able to be with him. Spencer's family (Sophia, Violet, and dog, Rio) are home surrounded by the support of his Montana Western family.
