You may know that on Thurs 28th Sept Raul had a TIA (mini stroke). Following treatment he then had a bleed on the brain. After eight weeks in hospital, he is now going home, and he faces many challenges.

We have been blown away by people’s kindness and have exceeded the original target to cover the cost of speech therapy for Raul. The amount given to date (£4295) will now be reserved to cover those costs.

Additional needs now are physiotherapy, taxis (he is unable to drive), modifications at home and to clothing. And all this in addition to sudden loss of income which is a challenge for any freelancer. He may have access to allowances but typically these take six months to process. To help with these significant costs, we have now extended the giving target to £10,000.
