Speech Language Pathology Graduation Ceremony 2021

Hello and thank you so much for taking time out of your day to consider donating to our GoFundMe. We are the graduating class of Spring 2021 from the Speech and Language Pathology Master's program at California State University, Fresno.

As you may know, our in-person 2021 commencement ceremony has been canceled in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to such, our cohort has decided to plan a private commencement ceremony. In order to help raise funding for the event, we are starting this GoFundMe. We hope to raise enough for a humble ceremony that will allow the graduates to safely celebrate the immense accomplishments they have made over the years. Graduating with a master's degree is no small feat! 

Several safety precautions will be taken for the event (limited guest list, mask requirements, social distancing, hand sanitizing stations, outdoor ceremony, etc.). With the money we raise, we hope to be able to rent a stage, a microphone, a podium, chairs, tables, and other necessities, as well as a few affordable balloons and potentially some flowers for decoration. As you can see, we are going to keep it bare minimum and spend as little money as possible for the event. 

Any extra, left-over donations made to this GoFundMe will be donated by the students back into Fresno State's Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic. The Fresno State Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic is the very place where many of us experienced our first sessions as graduate clinicians, as well as our initial observations where we fell in love with the field. It would mean so much to be able to pay it forward to the clinic that helped each of us get our start.
