Specialist Richard H. Rosas Veteran's Memorial

Tax deductible
United States Army Specialist Richard H. Rosas gave his life in defense of our country on May 25th, 2004 in Fallujah, Iraq while serving with the Army's 10th Mountain Division.

Ricky was a great man that was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. There are many stories, from countless people, that truly tell the full story of the life of a person we should all strive to be.

For the purposes of this fundraiser, I'll get straight to the point.

Ricky was laid to rest in Lansing and there is a memorial down there to honor him. He also lived and went to school in Saint Louis, MI. A small memorial was placed in the park in Saint Louis across from the high school to honor Ricky's service to our nation. In the spring it was vandalized and local community members quickly volunteered to replace it. I think we can do better, and we should get a nicer monument in place. I listed the goal at 10k because I believe we can get the project done for that or less. Any surplus in funds will be given to the family to use at their discretion. The discussion with city leadership still needs to happen, and the full plan and designs are not finalized, but it's time to get the money raised.
