Hi, my name is Paul Wright and I would like help in raising funds for friends of ours, Isaac and Hannah. Their son William, as lots of you will know, was born with the worst kind of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) that prevents muscle development through lack of nerve signals from the brain to the muscles. This leaves William unable to feed, drink, sit unsupervised or even breath at night by himself. We have already supported William, Isaac and Hannah at the point of diagnosis when Isaac was unable to work as he supported his family both practically and emotionally. Through your generosity, the family were able to be together when they needed it most. Unfortunately, notwithstanding a miracle, this type 1 SMA will always be with William and his development will always be seriously hampered. Currently, it is extremely difficult for the family to leave the house for any length of time due to William's condition and so they need a specialist buggy that can support William effectively during any walks or other travel. Isaac and Hannah are desperate to start normal activities with William and for him to be able to engage with the world and people around him. They would dearly love to be able to go out as a family for walks in the park, for a coffee or a meal and to be able to try to come to church as a family again. If you could find it within your heart to support William, Isaac and Hannah with this next stage of William's development, I know that they would be forever grateful.
