In September 2019 Paul was assaulted on an evening out whilst celebrating with friends and colleagues. The assault has left Paul with life changing injuries and changed the lives of his family and friends.
Over the past 9 months, Paul has suffered 2 haemorrhages on his brain, recovered from numerous infections and survived a Covid19 infection.
Paul now requires 24 hour care from a dedicated nursing team for the rest of his life and has been diagnosed with Dissociative State Consciousness Vegetive State. He can no longer eat, drink, speak or move without assistance.
Paul and his fiancé Helen have twin 4 year olds and a 4 month old baby who Paul unfortunately has been unable to meet. As one can imagine, this has left the family heartbroken, Helen understandably feels she’s lost the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with and carry on raising their wonderful family.
It has come to a time that Paul now needs more specialist equipment. He needs specific sleeping aids and a customised armchair to aid with postural management and wellbeing. We are hoping to raise £5400 to cover this cost for Helen and her family to ease the process of adjusting to a new life with Paul.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will really help a wonderful family struck with tragedy.
Thank you.
