School Fundraiser for Special Needs Angel

Donation protected
Alyvia is a golden-hearted child who deals with her differences every day as she has ADHD, Autism, anxiety, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and alopecia. Yet with as much diversity that she deals with she has always wanted to help those around her. Ever since she was 2 years old she has wanted to feed the people in the woods. While her mother didn't always understand that meant the homeless it was also understood that she is a special girl. Now at 10 years old, she gives back as much as she can. She finds kids who don't have toys to give hers to, when she has leftovers from dinner she wants to give them to the homeless, and when she won the worlds largest stocking she took only a few toys out of it and gave the rest to a veteran in the local area so that he could give his grandchildren Christmas presents.

This sweet girl though has always had a problem, especially at school. For starters, she has been bullied horribly as her special needs make her stand out. Just last year she was hit across the face, kicked, made fun of, and just generally bullied. Add this to her learning difficulties which makes her writing almost illegible, and her spelling level at just a first-grade level among other issues it is apparent that this angel needs a school that is more geared towards her and her needs.

Her mother found the perfect school, Hope Ranch, for her this year. When originally looking at the school and figuring out if the school was the right fit the mother and father were told that they would receive a scholarship that would cover all but $25 a month of the school costs.  This, unfortunately, did not happen. The family instead was awarded a scholarship that covered all but $2000 worth of the costs. This is a big difference for the family, but due to this being the very best school for the daughter they want to do everything they can to be able to send her there instead of back to the schools that have been known to bully here.

About the school: Hope Ranch Learning Academy continues the legacy of empowering children, with educational challenges and Autism, to reach full potential in a Christian faith-based environment. Check them out at www.hopeyouthranch.org.
