Hello everyone,

We are raising funds to give our Special Education students at Dozier-Libbey Medical High School an unforgettable learning experience, a field trip to Alcatraz Island in San Francisco!

Our students have been studying California history, social justice, and the stories of people who shaped our state. Visiting Alcatraz will give them a chance to connect what they’ve learned in class to a real place and walk where history happened and see the world beyond the classroom.

Many of my students have never had the opportunity to go on a field trip like this. Between the cost of tickets, transportation, and lunches, the total expense is more than most families can afford.

Your donation will go directly toward:

-Ferry tickets to Alcatraz

-Bus transportation from Antioch to San Francisco

-Student lunches, dinners, and water

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps make this trip possible for our amazing students. These experiences bring learning to life and help our students build confidence, independence, and lasting memories.
