Speak Volumes: FREE art workshops for the community!

Donation protected
This March, Speak Volumes Festival will roll out 15 free creative events (11 hands-on arts and crafts workshops) hosted by local artists, as part of our 3-day community celebration of emerging, student, and disabled creative people.

This is our second ever festival - and we hope to make it an annual feat - however, we need some final help to ensure we can best serve our community and deliver our promises. No donation is too small, and every £10 secures a workshop seat for a young person in Worcestershire!

Speak Volumes is a 3-day festival in the heart of Worcester city centre, and offers a wide variety of opportunities for people at the beginning of their creative careers. These include competitions, the option to list their artwork or products for sale, volunteer (and receive proper references for their portfolio or CV), and get their first taste of working in their chosen industry (The Arts!).

Some feedback we received last year includes:
"Thank you endlessly for giving so many of us young artists a space to showcase our work!"
"The day was alight with warmth, colour, and sincerity - I had a blast.", and "We need more spaces like this, inclusive and equitable to its core."

This year, our workshop line-up looks like this:
  • Make your own flower crown
  • Express Yourself: Posters with Artists Clubhouse
  • Paint Chip Poetry with the Worcestershire Poet Laureate
  • Origami
  • Queer Connections - Poetry workshop
  • Poetry Landscapes (Nature poems)
  • Fashion Life Drawing
  • Making Magnets
  • Wirewrap jewellery making
  • Paper Puppets
  • Zine-making

Thank you for choosing to donate to Speak Volumes Festival CIC - a volunteer-run organisation with a passion to bring real opportunities to artists locally, and to remove the financial barriers that prevent young adults from engaging with creativity locally.
