We, Cassidy Amber Chapman and Choralina Chanté, are inviting you to join our shared mission: to use music as a tool for transformation.

When we first met, Cassidy shared a vision of uniting artists for a song project much like We Are The World. When Choralina heard this, her eyes lit up. “I think I have that song,” she said. “I’ve had this vision for over a decade.”

That song was Speak Up Child, an anthem born from Choralina’s personal journey of surviving childhood abuse and reclaiming her voice. Written as a powerful release that gave voice to the pain, shame, and silence so many carry. She had always known it was meant for something bigger, a message for the world.

Cassidy was stunned. The first person she shared her vision with not only had the same mission… but already had the song. Still, the vision was so big, we both hesitated. Could we really do this?

In time, the answer became clear. Cassidy’s heart broke in a million pieces when she discovered the prevalence of childhood abuse. The floodgates opened as clients, loved ones, and strangers began to confess the sexual and physical abuse they endured as children. She saw the cost of silence. She witnessed the power of finally speaking. And with that, she reached out to Choralina again and said, “It’s time. This song needs to be heard.”

We knew in our hearts: Speak Up Child isn’t just a song...it’s a movement.

Childhood abuse is a devastating reality, leaving millions of survivors struggling with deep emotional wounds and lifelong challenges. Far too many children endure sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, often in silence, and it’s heartbreaking. Societal stigma and fear prevent many from seeking help or speaking out. Our project seeks to reach survivors in a new way, through the universal language of music.

These funds will support the creation of the song “Speak Up Child,” a powerful project involving multiple industry professionals. Every artist and contributor deserves to be paid for their time, talent, and expertise. Your support will help cover the costs of professional studio recording, studio engineers, vocal and instrumental sessions, mixing, production, licensing, mastering, publishing, promotional campaigns, and essential administrative expenses.
