Hello,
I my name is Belinda Green and I am the coordinator of a support group for women living with HIV.
I am trying to raise funds for my HIV + women's support group to attend SPEAK UP! the only national summit for women living with HIV. Far too often, women living with HIV are talked about, instead of talked to at the tables where decisions are made about their lives. Due to stigma many HIV + women live in isolation, shame and fear. Therefore on behalf of all my HIV+ sisters in MN, I am boldly asking for your help.
Please help send a group of six HIV + women to Myrtle Beach South Carolina April 12-15, 2018. These are our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, wives and significant others. The funds are needed to help pay for registration, meals, travel and a stipend. The deadline for registration is February 28, 2018.
At SPEAK UP! these women will: Learn, Develop Leadership Skills, Share, Connect, Build Power, and become a part of a Sisterhood.
I would be grateful knowing that these women have obtained the tools to be better advocates and peer support for other women living in MN with HIV.
