SPCBC's Source to Sea Ergathon
Donation protected
SPCBC will row the length of the Thames from Source to Sea (346km) over the course of 36 hours as one continuous effort on an erg.
When? - 09:30 12th May – 21:30 13th May
Where? - St Peter’s College JCR
Last year, SPCBC broke the world record for the longest continuous group erg, and although ESR Theta broke this record this year, we’re back on the erg in 2025! We’re bringing the club together in the run up to Summer Eights for our Source to Sea ergathon, celebrating the Thames: our rowing home.
Every penny raised will go back into the club, including coaching and training costs. The generosity of the Boat Club Community ensures that we can continue to make rowing accessible for everyone at St Peter’s College and keep growing, competing, and bumping. We are forever grateful for your support! By covering the costs of running a boat club, we can reduce the costs of rowing for our members.
For example:
1. £25: a training session with one of our highly skilled coaches
2. £60: swim tests for a cohort
2. £90: Summer Eights entry fees for one crew
3. £300: OURCs affiliation fees for the club
4. £700: a year of mooring fees for our launch, facilitating immensely valuable longer training sessions
5. £1000: boat fees for our annual Seville training camp
Any donation has a direct positive impact on students in the Boat Club.
