Helping Miss Sadie

Donation protected
UPDATE... Sadie sadly lost this battle Saturday March 21.  My heart is so broken and I miss her so very much! I just want to thank everyone who donated and or shared this request for help. Sadie was just the sweetest little dog I ever had. I am a bit empty.  I do not know how to delete this so I'll just say thank you for everything. God provided for Sadie through all of you!

UPDATE.. Sadie is a very sick little girl. It's a very serious issue that could require blood transfusions, meds, etc...some don't get to the transfusion part because it's like pouring gasoline on the fire; her system kills the red blood cells so giving her a transfusion is both expensive and may not work.
We are looking at frequent blood checks as she is now on steroids. The Vet said I need to focus on giving her the meds and getting her to eat. She is very weak and bruises super easy & to keep her calm. There is a high possibility she won't make it. We have another appt Monday for blood work to see how she is doing.

Sadie is 8 years old. I rescued her a little over a year ago from a past that is not only questionable & mysterious but possibly horrifying. Each Vet visit I find something else out that was a lie told by previous owner. I was told she had dentals once a year; she didn't. I was told she was up on her vaccines; she wasn't. I was told she was fed homemade dog food; she wasn't. I was told she was loved on; she wasn't. I was told she was an inside dog; she was kept outside all the time.  I was told she was super healthy; she has arthritis in her knee and a heart murmur that my Vet has detected.
Since Sadie as been with me she has blossomed into a super sweet girl full of life. She loves to play; especially with her carrots.  She loves her walks and even though she is afraid of a lot she is a brave little ball of fire if she sees a javelina, bobcat or coyote.  She loves her little chicken treats and eats her food like a champ.
But all that has changed. She no longer eats, drinks, walks and there is no interest in her carrots. I woke up Saturday morning (3/14) to her bed covered in blood spots.  I had my daughter take her to the Vet as I am a cancer patient and have a compromised immune system so I am staying in during this virus epidemic.   Tests were and are needed to find out what is wrong with Sadie and they are not willing to work with me on the bill.  I got her meds and office visit but the rest is just not there. I have a difficult time and always have asking for help but this isn't for me this is for Sadie. If you find it in your heart to help I will appreciate it more than you could know. Blood work and urinalysis is needed to get a diagnosis.  Sadie needs these tests ASAP as she is worse now than yesterday.   Sadie thanks you and I thank you tremendously!
